This is a tune inspired and in appreciation for people and musicians we have come to know on the cloud here but also about the changing of weather conditions in life and through the season of life (in music)
So it is a loose concept piece in a sense. I was looking to do something instrumental and I wanted to work again with Jaime who I think just did an amazing job with her contributions and is in places you may would not have known were Jaime (see parts) All of her work was done on the piano and some was modeled with other effects to add a new layer to her talents here.
Then we passed off to Zeph who started this thing with a drum loop he sent me that got me going and then he added his drum design to the rest of the piece and some instrumentation that I just think fit so well and again (see parts) His mix on this was stellar and I could not be happier with the way everyone vibed this groove. We had much fun together doing it.

This is a tune about those times when the world around us gets small and we need to reach out and around to the ones we trust for strength, guidance and direction. It has some deeper personal meanings as well that I will leave to interpretation.
This tune was a bit more alternative jazzy and I am so amazed at how Jaime can adapt to all musical situations I toss her way. I was wanting some of that low register with Jaimes vocal on this with splashes of her natural range and so I double tracked her vocal. There are actually two Jaimes singing here one a baritone and the other the Jaime we all know and love. I also told her I was wanting some piano for the piece and she just comes up with the coolest melodies and grooves, about how she comes up with lyrics...in minutes...lol amazing she iz 
We were going to get Zeph in on this and we were looking at some live drums, and other things but upon placing the mix he felt the drums I had arranged were cool and he also was on a limited time schedule so he graciously did the mix and production for us and I could not be happier with his involvement here.

Our initial response was to affix this to the machine
Our distant inclinations sense a quantum generated scene

So it became like a fun joy ride though space in an intergalactic hot rod. Jaime brought some killer vocals and this awesome piano set for the middle of the song that sort of reminds me of being in an intergalactic lounge chilling and listening to music or whatever. I thought what she came up with was so perfect for the song and I love it. Jaime is someone I cant say enough good things about with regard to her gifts and as a person. Simply the best!Passed this off the Zeph as he was upgrading his studio and I think he was able to use this track to dial everything in and get all the bugs and entities out. He came with a great drum ride as well as the cool effects all over the song , and that wild ride of an end...just perfect. Im very happy with how Zeph interprets our tunes and seems to know just what it needs here and there. He dedicated tons of time to this one and it shows big time and Im so grateful. Original Release October 09, 2015Capturing the mood in this kind of synthphonic piece. I really crush the drums and make them reverberate unnaturally. I guess I feel it's eerie like a horror movie right now, the outside world that is. Sometimes I feel words are unnecessary. So there are no words here.The vibe is: Trying to find the exit but wanting to be hopeful too. Criss cross feelings yet inconclusive. Sometimes taking the little things for granted or becoming overly intense about this or that and I just need to take a deep breath and think of all the things I have to be grateful for and there are so many things. Lets start with my co creators of this tune. When I went to Jaime with this she was all over the idea of coming up with some lyrics to the simple chorus I had jotted down and some awesome piano which she so came up with and sounds so amazing in the piece. It just sounds so bright and happening. We wanted to sing this harmony style and Im just so happy and grateful for Jaime and her infectious vibe. She came with these great lyrics that were so fun to sing. We sometimes go deep on the lyrical content but we really wanted to stay light and simple here.So we then passed this over to Zeph who was getting antsy.  He had these killer drum riffs he wanted to put with the track and man do they POP! then I wanted him to do a Synth solo and left a spot for that and Zeph came in with this Emerson, Lake and Palmer on helium vibe that is just perfect in my ear and has a high degree of happiness to it.
